Into Right Relationship

Management Coaching

Workplaces are dynamic systems that function best when managers and their teams are in right relationship. Our approach to management coaching meets managers where they are: in both their skill sets and team needs. We work with executives, founder-owners, non-profit leaders, senior directors, and middle managers in a variety of workplace cultures and settings. For those facing specific challenges, we tailor this offering to individual and organizational circumstances, troubleshooting employee interactions and brainstorming transformative approaches. For those not experiencing management “problems” per se, this is the perfect offering to explore how to keep growing.

Our (Human) Approach

Our one-on-one approach draws from your own experiences and insights to get the kind of creative thinking flowing that will work for you and your team. Since this offering is intentionally focused on you, we’ll find and fine-tune your growing edges to nudge you towards your own version of better management.

Hearing from Your Team
Employees have some of the most valuable insights into their managers’ growth areas. We begin with a team-informed assessment to explore what they know, but might not be sharing with you. This team-informed assessment feeds into a workplan that both challenges and complements your personal management style.

Listening Fully and Communicating Directly
Listening and reflecting is the foundation of open and direct communication. To model how this works, we listen to you, ask questions that challenge your perspective, and reflect your observations and insights back to you. Across the coaching relationship, Into Right Relationship will teach and model approaches that we’ll practice together in the privacy of a one-on-one sessions.

Nurturing Accountability
Your customized workplan will incorporate a range of management strategies and skills to support your professional development and your team’s transformation. We’ll provide support, redirection, and accountability from session to session as you implement strategies that we reflect on and refine together.

Custom workplans focus on individual management competencies in these core areas:

    • Self-management and awareness;
    • Direct and transparent communication;
    • Approaches to center employees’ experience, expertise, and understanding;
    • Practical day-to-day management strategies; and
    • System design that supports personal and team goals.
Working with Sarah Brown has been transformative. She has helped our team through the process of understanding and shifting established patterns, helping us build and engage in healthier communication. On a personal level, she has helped me tremendously to achieve greater self-awareness. Her approach is both practical and authentic, providing actionable steps while remaining deeply human and responsive. I cannot recommend working with Sarah Brown and Into Right Relationship highly enough!”

“You created safety by allowing for person-to-person rapport building in our meetings, were able to meet me where I was, and you always showed compassion, presence, openness, curiosity and general interest in what I was thinking or ideas I had. Even more, you treated me like an equal through collaboration (not by force or judgement). I think the biggest lesson I learned from you was to name it, whatever it was - if I felt stuck or angry, we just named it to take the sting out of it. Named the lateness. Named the joy. Named the really damn hard parts of a project. We kept naming what was happening which was the first step in getting through a stuck patch.”
